What Are The NASCAR Cup Series Standings For 2022

It seems as if the last season of the NASCAR cup went by in a flash and now it’s time for the next one, and fans are sitting with bated breath watching as with each race that goes by the standings of their favorite driver moves. Each race provides every driver with a new opportunity to move up in the standings which is what makes NASCAR such an interesting sport. This gives drivers who might be at the bottom right now the opportunity to move up and even steal the top spot and everyone loves a true underdog story and this is the sport where you get to see that unfold.  

At the very top of the standings, we have William Byron racing for Hendrick Motorsports in the No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 with 334 points. He came in first at the NASCAR Cup Series at Martinsville on April the ninth and third at the NASCAR Cup Series at Richmond on April fourth, which is his highest placing. Coming in hot on his heels in second place we have Ross Chastain racing for Chip Ganassi Racing in the new No. 1 Chevrolet with 292 points backing him. Chastain recently came in first in the NASCAR Cup Series at Talladega on April twenty-fourth.

In the third position, we have Kyle Busch racing for Joe Gibbs Racing in the No.18 Toyota Camry with 312 points and came in first at the NASCAR Cup Series at Bristol (Dirt) on April seventeenth and third at NASCAR Cup Series at Talladega on April twenty-fourth. After that, we have Alex Bowman who comes in the fourth position racing for Hendrick Motorsports in the No.48 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 with 309 points. These are just the top four places and there are so many more, with more races to come these standing are bound to change.
