USMNT Players for Qatar World Cup
By Laura Lee - April 2, 2023

So, it’s now a fact. The men traveling to Qatar’s deserts may be seen here, barring any injuries this weekend that need their replacement. Be optimistic, though. We can now debate a World Cup team after eight long years! When Horvath entered the scene in the CONCACAF Nations League Final last year as an injury replacement and helped the United States defeat Mexico by stopping a penalty kick in extra time, it was a pivotal moment in Berhalter’s career. Although Steffen has consistently shown to be superior, Matt Turner would have been supporting him. Turner will presumably start in Steffen’s place because Steffen was not included on the roster.

Due to Berhalter’s vendetta, Chris Richards and Miles Robinson will be unable to compete in the World Cup, meaning Zimmerman will have to anchor the USMNT’s defense. Dest becomes an offensive dervish against both Wales and Iran thanks to their deep defensive line, while Antonee Robinson maintains his health and retains him at right back. Carter-Vickers, now 24 years old, has long been considered one of the “future stars” in the American system. Even though he has approximately a dozen USMNT caps, he probably wouldn’t be chosen as the team’s top choice in Qatar.

Only Yedlin should be traveling to Qatar with the USMNT, who has previously competed in a World Cup. Adams plays a quiet position on the team but is tactically the most crucial national team member. There isn’t a better defensive midfielder available for the USMNT right now. Yunus Musah is the solution to every US midfield issue as a connection between Adams and whoever is in the attack. The only proper winger for the US is Tim Weah, who extends opponents’ defense to provide a half-space for McKennie, Musah, or Dest.
Pulisic is the best American of all time when he is on his game. He is the first American to transform the game on a global scale independently. No USMNT player in history can lead, pass, score, and defend as he can. Additionally, we have Gio Reyna, who renders the midfield more unpredictable and leads to more goals, but he might not start the first few games owing to health issues.
