Top Ranking NHL Players

Each year new players enter the NHL and old players improve, so now is a good time to go over the current top players in the NHL. Up at number ten, we have Mitchell Marner, who plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the right-wing position. Marner is a Canadian professional Hockey player, who was selected fourth overall by the Maple Leafs in the 2015 NHL draft. In addition to being a right winger, Marner is also the alternate captain for his team. Next in the ninth position, there is Adam Fox of the New York Rangers who plays in the position of defenceman.

In the eighth position, we have Kirill Kaprizov who is the left wing of the Minnesota Wild, and a Russian professional ice hockey player who played for the Kontinental Hockey League before joining his current team. The seventh position goes to the goaltender of the Tampa Lightning Andrei Vasilevskiy. Yet another Russian player comes in at sixth place on this list, Nikita Kucherov plays as a forward for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Leon Draisaitl takes up the fifth position on the list, Draisaitl is a German ice hockey forward for the Edmonton Oilers. Canadian hockey player Cale Makar, a defenseman for the Colorado Avalanche comes in at the fourth position.

Third place on our list goes to Nathan MacKinnon who is the center for the Colorado Avalanche as well as the alternate captain. MacKinnon was selected first overall by his team during the 2013 NHL draft. In the runner-up position, we have Auston Matthews, an American ice hockey center for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Matthews was drafted first overall during the 2016 NFL draft and was ranked as the fourth-best Toronto Maple leaf of all time. In the top position, we have Canadian hockey player and center for the Edmonton Oilers Connor McDavid.
