The New York Giants made Odell Beckham Jr. the highest paid wide receiver in football on Monday, ESPN reports.

The three-time Pro Bowler reportedly signed a five-year extension which could pay him a maximum of $95 million over the course of the deal with $65 million in guaranteed money, topping the Steelers’ Antonio Brown’s $17 million per year average and Tampa’s Mike Evans $55 million in guaranteed money.

Beckham is reportedly slated to earn $8.4 million on the fifth-year option of his rookie contract, but the extension retools his 2018 contract into a $1.459 million salary with a $20 million signing bonus. The Giants will save $3 million against the salary cap.

Beckham, 25, had been in search of a contract extension for the past two seasons and was expecting he would be offered a deal some time this offseason. The extension puts him under contract through the year 2023.  With the deal, Beckham is certain  to return to the field for the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars Sept. 9. He’s been sidelined for the entire preseason after breaking his ankle last October.

For his career, Beckham’s snagged 313 receptions for 4,424 yards and 238 touchdowns. His 200 receptions and 3,000 yards in his first 30 games is an NFL record. He’s also tallied at least 90 receptions, 1,300 yards and 10 touchdownsin each of his first three seasons in the league.
