LeBron James said that he has been mentoring Odell Beckham Jr.

The uber-talented New York Giants wide receiver, Beckham Jr., has become an undeniable star for the National Football League both for his talent on the field and for his off the field personality. He has garnered a lot of attention and criticism for his attitude and passion on the field, where he has fought with cornerbacks, thrown helmets and teared up on the sideline. He also has found himself in the spotlight for a colorful night life. After losing in the 2017 NFL postseason, many reporters criticized Beckham Jr. for partying in Miami, Florida the week before the loss.

Multiple time NBA MVP and Champion, LeBron James, has had to deal with his share of criticism as well. Much of it stemmed from how he handled his move from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Miami Heat to play with his friends. James said that he had been sharing advice with Beckham Jr. on how to deal with the criticism.

“I just try to be a guidance to him and give him words of advice when he needs it and when he wants it,” said James while in New York City for a game against the Knicks. “He can reach out to me any time no matter what time or what the subject is and I just try to give him a piece of my knowledge. It’s up to him however he wants to take it.”
