John Cena and Nikki Bella, who broke up just weeks before their wedding was scheduled to take place, are back together, People reported.

The wrestling stars spent six weeks apart before the reunion, and Cena spent much of the time publicly discussing his hope that he and Bella would resume their relationship.

Bella also hinted at the possibility of making things work with Cena, but said on an appearance on Kathie Lee & Hoda that she wanted to take time to work on herself before getting married so as not to feel regretful about anything.

“They were always going to find their way back to each other,” an anonymous source told People. “It was never going to be permanent.” The source also said that the planned wedding was not the kind Cena and Bella truly wanted, and that the publicity surrounding the event had overtaken their desire for a smaller affair.

The pair had reportedly been speaking to each other after breaking up in order to begin the process of reconciliation.

Cena and Bella had been dating for six years before the breakup, which was reportedly sparked in part by disagreements over whether the couple wanted to have children.
