The Jacksonville Jaguars have suspended All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey for violating team rules and what they call conduct unbecoming a Jaguars football player.

More specifically, Ramsey suffered a category 5 meltdown after witnessing reporters filming a fight between defensive end Dante Fowler and defensive end Yannick Ngakoue during practice on Sunday. Ramsey can even be heard in a few of the videos that have surfaced yelling at reporters to stop filming. One of those reporters, Phillip Heilman of the Florida Times-Union,  said that after practice Ramsey called a meeting with media members in which he threatened he would encourage his teammates to stop talking to the press if video of the fight was made public.

Heilman, for his part, did his job and published the video anyway, which elicited a fiery Twitter threat from Ramsey.

“@phillip_heilman, you know you done messed up right?” Ramsey wrote. “Lol if y’all want war, we got sum for y’all. & I know the rest of y’all (you know who you are) gone read this too so just know.”

Ramsey was suspended one week for the tirade, while Fowler was given the same punishment for his role in the skirmish. It’s expected that neither will make the trip to Minnesota on Tuesday for two days of joint practices and the preseason game on Saturday.
