College Football Picks: Alabama-LSU has decided lack of buzz
By admin - August 12, 2020

It’s funny how certain things have a here today and gone tomorrow motif. Alabama-LSU game has in just a year gone from Game of the Century to just withering memory.  Here are the highlights:

  • Even with the game being a distant memory, it’s still exciting to see the top-ranked Crimson Tide visit the defending national champion Tigers.
  • “College Gameday” is looking like a go for ESPN even in this pandemic we’re navigating through.
  • What made it exciting last season was the Tigers and Tide having the No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup in Tuscaloosa last season.
  • This matchup will def garner some interest. It’s been nearly 20 years since LSU faced Alabama as an unranked team. Neither were even in the talks as a top contender.
  • Of course, Alabama is still No. 1. The largest margin of Alabama was way back in 1922 (45-10).
  • Now, there are other competitors fighting such as No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 3 Ohio State.
  • It’s tough to read because who’s going to be sick or will there be enough regulations to keep people safe in the pandemic?
  • We’ll have to tune in to see what happens.
