Numerous favorites triumphed this year, including Rafael Nadal, who won the French Open for a record 14th time, the Kansas Jayhawks, who won the NCAA basketball title, and the Astros, who won the World Series. Rich Strike’s unexpected victory at the Kentucky Derby, the Phillies winning the National League pennant, and the Alabama Crimson Tide missing the College Football Playoff despite having been the top seed for the previous two seasons were all stunning upsets. It’s time to start looking forward to what lies in store now that 2022 is coming to an end.

The NCAA Football Playoff Championship is scheduled for Monday, January 9. Will it be TCU, Georgia, Michigan, or Ohio State? In my case, I’m taking a chance on long-shot TCU, but whichever wins, it’s going to be one of the most thrilling days of the year, and it’s coming up soon! Super Bowl LVII is scheduled to take place on February 12. Does a better option exist? It doesn’t matter if you’re predicting the MVP or which team will cover the spread; this event is the highlight of the day, and you can probably do it with pals at a party too.
March Madness, is there anything better in the middle of spring? April 1–3 will see the NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four Championship Game.
By this time, baseball has just begun, football is on break, but college basketball will name its champion. Thanks to Saint Peter’s knocking out 2-seed Kentucky with a, I’ve already chosen this year’s bracket buster. For the best reward on your long-shot wager on the Final Four, place your future bets as soon as possible. The finest part is at the end. Are the Astros going to win their third championship in six years? Is the Yankees’ drought in the World Series, which has lasted 14 years, now over? Will the NL receive this one instead? While Steve Cohen has signed enough cheques for the Mets to be considered outstanding, the Dodgers are perennial competitors. What has a higher likelihood? Like the recent Phillies or Braves, we’ll witness another unexpected contender.
