By Andrew Parker - May 2, 2023

The NFL Draft in 2022 is gone, but every football analyst is still talking about it. The league has been extremely busy over the last few days. We’ve seen several fascinating trades and a few drafts and steals. High-profile prospects like Nakobe Dean and Malik Willis were forced to settle for third-round picks, shocking the NFL world. The Green Bay Packers selected Quay Walker 22nd, far higher than many analysts predicted. Who knew Cole Strange’s name would come up in the first round? Not many

From long-shot to the top pick, Georgia Travon Walker is the first pick in the NFL Draft in 2022. The Jacksonville Jaguars wanted a player who could create power from the ground up. The Detroit Lions select Michigan DE. Aidan Hutchinson was selected second overall. No surprise. It was a fantastic match, and it has a lovely ring to it, ‘Hometown Hutchinson.’ Derek Stingley Jr. of LSU was selected third overall by the Houston Texans. His granddad was also picked in the first round and was a former New England Patriot. I admire the talent that runs in families.

The Eagles acquired the 13th overall pick by trading four picks to the Texans. They selected defensive tackle Jordan Davis of the Georgia Bulldogs, a vital member of the program’s CFP National Championship run in 2021. Without the Ravens, there is no better list of most improved teams. They had 11 options and were able to take advantage of them. Going into the regular season, their selections and general squad depth put them on a different level. The Ravens have the most outstanding safety group in the league right now; from Marcus Williams to Kyle Hamilton
